London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Won By 4 wickets with 6.3 overs remaining

Match report With the difficulties of getting all the way to Holtwhites we started the match short of a couple of players. As it happens Harry Salter (1-6 in 4 overs) and Binny F (0-12 in 4 overs) bowled such accurate spells that we hardly needed any fielders. Joel Greenbaum (2-14 from 4 overs)replaced Binny and bowled really well taking 2 wickets including an excellent caught and bowled. Yoram took over from Harry and bowled equally well, at one point he was on a hat trick but the umpire declined his ferocious LBW appeal. When Joe Nyman (1-10 from 3 overs) arrived, he got the ball moving all over the place and after a couple of wide deliveries proved to be almost unplayable.

The ground fielding and catching was excellent right the way through, almost unrecognisable from the start of the season. All of this good work meant that Holtwhites only scored 68 in their 20 overs, a really excellent effort by the team, who as always looked like they really enjoyed it.

Matthew Gold and Joel Greenbaum opened the batting but were soon bowled out by the Holtwhites opening bowler (he was extremely good, so no disgrace) and with David Goodkin soon following we were 13-3. However Joe Nyman (36* 8x4) and Binny (13* 2x4) batted well and runs were soon flowing freely. Eventually after a stand of 48 we retired both batsman and a mini collapse followed, but 2 superb 4's by Harry Salter saw us home by 4 wickets with 6.3 overs left.

A top notch performance to give the under 13's a second win in a row. Well done to all.
