26 Mar 2021

London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club (LMVCC) and the Maccabi London Brady Recreational Trust (MLBRT) are very pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement to formalise their current partnership.

Under the agreement, LMVCC, which for 65 years has been a proudly Jewish cricket club, will continue to use Rowley Lane, the sports facility owned and operated by MLRBT, as a training venue.

MLBRT will become the official front of shirt sponsor of LMVCC and provide ongoing support to help LMVCC in its overall development.

Commenting on the new arrangement, LMV chairman Alex Haffner said: “We are extremely grateful to MLBRT for their continued commitment to LMVCC and the financial and operational support they are giving us, particularly as it cements our long-term membership of the MLBRT and its great work in promoting Jewish sport."

Haffner added: "LMVCC has grown exponentially in the past few years with over 120 playing members, three junior and three senior teams. This partnership will help us to continue to provide a centre for Jewish cricketers of all ages to play the game.”

Andrew Landesberg, Trustee of the MLBRT commented: “I have always been passionate about promoting all Jewish sport and making sure that we give opportunities to kids and adults to play the sports they love.

"Cricket is no exception. LMVCC has done great work in the community and we are very pleased that they will continue to be a central part of the MLBRT family.”
