London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Lost by 3 runs

Match report LMV suffered an agonising 3-run defeat to Totteridge at a wet Rowley Lane.Captain for the day Noah Sugarman lost the toss and LMV were asked to bowl first.Despite starting with only eight men LMV bowled and fielded superbly,probably the best performance in the field so far this season.Elan Brooks was outstanding in the field,setting a great example,highlighted by a brilliant stop and throw which led to a run-out.There were two excellent performances with the ball,Noah Sugarman bowled his four overs without bowling a wide,taking 1-6.Nathan also bowled very well,taking 2-7 in his four overs.
In reply Sam J and Alex got LMV off to a steady start,but the loss of three quick wickets left LMV struggling at 19-3.Nathan and Noah Silver then put on 27 for the 4th wicket,seemingly putting LMV on course to win.However the dismassal of Noah led to a flurry of wickets,and when last man Benjamin joined Elan nine runs were still needed.Despite a brave effort from the last pair LMV fell just short.
