Match report LMV(93-4) beat Enfield(67-5) by 26 runs


LMV got back to winning ways with a comfortable win over Enfield in a game which was again played in foul weather..Captain for the day Joseph Bentley lost the toss and LMV were asked to bat first.Openers Alex and Joseph got LMV off to a quick start,scoring at over five runs an over.When Joseph was out Zac increased the tempo, scoring 19 before he was retired,hitting three fours.There were contributions down the order from Nathan,Noah Silver and Elan,and a total of 93 in a match shortened to 16 overs a side looked competitive.In reply the Enfield batsmen found scoring difficult due to tight bowling from Benjamin and Joseph,followed by Nathan and Elan.At halfway Enfield had scored 19-3,and after that the result was never in doubt.Highlight of the fielding was a brilliant catch by Zac behind the stumps to give Noah Silver his first wicket.Overall this was a good performance by the boys in appalling conditions.
