London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Lost by 6 runs

Match report The U13s played only their second competitive fixture season and all 14 players put on an admirable show for the many spectators both sides. Enfield batted first and opening pair got their innings off to a solid start against a young LMV opening pair of Greenbaum and U11 captain Nathan Wise. Both sides wanted to give their players a game to there was a steady stream of news batsmen and bowlers. Special mention to Matan Hamburger who came on late to bowl two overs for only 7 runs and take 2 wickets. However, the whole team tried hard in the field and should be commended.

LMV opened their innings with Katten and Hamburger, both of whom are good batsmen and got the score off to a flying start. Well done to Gidon Katten who top scored with 17 before being retired to let others have a game. A steady stream of wides, wickets and retirements followed and it looked like the game was beyond LMV. However some good running between the wicket by Abrahams, Lazard and Goodwin ensure the final few overs were tense. Unfortunately Enfield were able to bring on some more decent bowlers who bowled a good line and length and restricted our runs in the last couple of overs and left us 6 runs short of the required 102.

Well done to the whole squad and thanks to those who were substituted in the field and offered not to bat to let everyone have a game.
