London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Lost By 89 runs

Match report Crick 225-5 beat LMVCC 136 all out, by 89 runs.

LMV won the toss and decide to bowl first. Despite a couple of early wickets Crick scored quickly early on. Good spells from Michael Ziff (0-34) and Thomas Goulde (0-22) meant that Crick were restricted to 80-2 after 20 overs. However after the drinks break they cut loose and although Jeffery "Maverick" Permutt took 3 wickets in a spell of 8-2-42-3 Crick amassed a large total of 225-5 in their 40 overs.

After an excellent tea feast Maccabiah veterans Danny Caro and Nigel Rothband opened the batting. Things didn't go well and we soon found ourselves 19-3 and then 68-6, with only Mark Spanjar (21) showing any aggression. Leders Snr managed to muster the tail to take us over the 100 mark, but despite his 46 not out (7x4's & 1x6)we were bowled out for 136.

Not a great start to the league season and a lot of work required to make sure we can be competitive in this division.
