Match report Bourne End 205 all out beat LMVCC 2nd XI 152 for 8 by 53 runs (35 overs per side)

Freezing cold afternoon!!!!

Not our best day, in the freezing cold. Our bowling was wayward too often and despite excellent spells of 3-20 from Ben Lederman and 2-32 from Jonathan Freedman, Bourne End amassed a large score of 205 in their overs.

We were delighted to get into the clubhouse, and away from the freezing cold weather, to eat what is surely going to be tea of the year (home made coffee and walnut cake. We made a slow start, in the freezing cold. Sim Cohen(37) and Alex Haffner (21) had a good partnership of 56, made in good time, but we were never really in the hunt. The most entertaining part of the afternoon was when Freeds hit the last two balls of the match for 6!

Have I mentioned how cold it was yet. Absolutely freezing cold with a horrible wind.

Must do better next week in our first league match.
