London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Lost By 5 runs

Match report Old Elizabethans under 13's 90-6 beat LMV under 13's 85-4 by five runs

LMV narrowly lost an exciting game against Old Elizabethans on Thursday.

Captain Nathan Wise won the toss and decided to bowl first.Opening bowlers Jonathan Roskin and Sam Jeyes both took an early wicket to leave OEs on 5-2. However the third wicket scored quickly and at one stage OEs looked on course for over 100. LMV managed to peg it back with two wickets for Nathan and one for Jamie Newman.

Chasing 91 LMV got off to a slow start. A fourth wicket partnership of 50 Nathan and debutant David Frey made the game close. In the end 12 off the last over proved too much,with LMV falling five runs short. Nathan scored 28 and David 18 not out.The ground fielding was the difference,with mis-fields costing LMV at least 15 runs.

Next game is on Tuesday against Southgate Adelaide.
