London Maccabi Vale Cricket Club Lost by 33 runs

Match report LMV (52 all out) lost to Southgate Compton (85-5 ) by 33 runs

LMV Under 11's finally got their season under way with a match against Southgate Compton.Captain for the day Benjamin won the toss and decided to bowl first.The strong wind made bowling difficult,and Southgate scored 50 after 10 overs.However the boys improved as the innings went on and eventually restricted Southgate to 85 in their 20 overs.Special mentoins go to Jonathan,who took a wicket with his first ball,and ended u with 1-6 in his 3 overs.Jack also bowled well,taking 2-4 in his two overs,whilst Adam bowled 3 overs for 7,and Zac bowled 2 overs for 6.There was also a run out by wicket keeper Oliver .
In reply the boys struggled to hit the ball hard enough to beat the fielders and it was only due to extras that we managed to get to 52.

. Overall bearing in mind eight of our team were playing their first match it was a good effort,and hope we will work on our batting before next match.
