A SUCCESSFUL WEEK AND THE SUPPORT OF THE LONDON MACCABI BRADY REC TRUST

05 May 2023

Dear all

This has definitely been a good week for LMV CC.

Firstly, I'm very pleased to confirm that the London Maccabi Brady Recreational Trust have agreed to renew their generous sponsorship of our club and to continue our long and fruitful partnership with Rowley Lane. We are extremely fortunate to have their support, both in terms of the use of the facilities there for training and for their sponsorship of our shirts and I would urge you all please to thank your own contacts at the Trust and emphasise to them how much their support means to us. An official press announcement will follow soon.

On the field, we have started very well. Last Sunday, our 2nd X1 won their first Chess Valley League game chasing down 271 to win with an over to spare with Adam Spooner scoring a majestic 122*. Equally impressively and symbolic of what we are looking to do as a club, the bowling was opened by 15 year old Yoni Laitner who bowled his full allocation of 10 overs and took the oppo skipper's wicket - a fantastic indictment of the elite training we put on over the winter months for our most promising youngsters.

Our Junior teams have also done brilliantly with the U11s winning both their opening league games and, most pleasingly, the U15s winning their first ever Division 1 Middx League fixture by a whopping 68 runs against Winchmore Hill CC. Straight after the game Anthony Wise was onto me about his win bonus too.

Finally, I'm pleased to announce that Mohammed Rizvi is returning to coach the juniors from this Sunday. Mo is a top level coach who until recently was Head of Cricket at Welwyn Garden City CC and was very well received when he last did the juniors a couple of years ago.

Reminders please:

1. All team administration is now through Pitchero. PLEASE, PLEASE put all your availability on there for matches - especially for the Adult teams. You get an email reminder each week and we really need you to respond...

2. Subs are due for all teams - please pay up to avoid us chasing you.

3. Training continues Thursday 6.30pm for adults, Juniors 10-12am on Sundays - both at Rowley Lane.

Enjoy the long weekend.

Best regards,

Alex Haffner
Club Chairman
