Two more matches played since last week's update and two more wins for Vale CC.
On Sunday, the 2s kept up their unbeaten Chess Valley Division 3 record, thrashing Alexandra Park by 8 wickets. Bowling first, we bowled APCC out for 126 in the 44th over, with all ten wickets shared equally between Joseph Nyman (5-19) and Rafi Saville (5-21) aided by some excellent fielding from the Elite Squad players (messrs Latner, Swerling and Kandel) plus a fine debut wicketkeeping performance from Swerling Snr (Rob). In response we lost two early wickets but knocked off the runs in 24 overs with Adam Brand 90 not out and Alex Haffner 30 not out.
On Monday the U11s also kept up their 100% record in a one-sided game against Holtwhites Trinibis in which we scored 155 off of our 20 overs and bowled out the oppo for 31. Indeed we then proceeded to bowl them all out a second time as they insisted on batting their 20 overs! Special mention to Zac Cowan for a triple wicket maiden and Chain Rodiger for 16* (both are playing one year up).
